Description
Cafe Latina’s take on the flavors of the pumpkin empanada. Common in many Latin American cultures, the empanada name comes from the Spanish verb empanar, which means to wrap in bread. The empanada began as a portable pastry for the working man’s lunch filled with meat, cheese, vegetables, or fruit. As a native crop to Latin America, it was only natural for pumpkins to make their way into the folds of empanadas as a seasonal treat.
